Suitable for pregnant women from 12 weeks up to the birth of their baby.

Pregnancy Pilates is a safe and effective from of low impact exercise for pregnant women which is tailored considering the physiological changes the body undergoes during pregnancy.

The aim of Pregnancy Pilates is to build or maintain strength especially in the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, improve posture and flexibility to accommodate the growing bump, improve breathing control and relaxation which can be helpful when in labour.

There is a social aspect of meeting other local pregnant women to help form a support network.

Pregnancy Pilates enables women to safely stay active during pregnancy and help to reduce aches and pains related to pregnancy such as pelvic girdle pain, symphysis pubis dysfunction, lower back pain and sciatica.

This class will be taught by Rachel.
