Reformer Pilates is a safe and effective low-impact form of exercise that combines breathing with flowing body movements on a dynamic surface, offering an elevated approach to traditional Pilates. The Reformer machine is a specialised piece of equipment featuring a moveable carriage, adjustable springs, straps, and a foot bar, allowing a wide variety of exercises to be performed with added resistance, precision, and control.
The aim of Reformer Pilates is to improve posture, balance, coordination, flexibility, breathing efficiency, and mind-body awareness, with a focus on strengthening.
This class builds on beginner-level exercises, introducing more challenging movements and progressions. Class sizes are limited to 6 people, allowing the instructor to tailor exercises to individual needs and goals. The principles of Pilates are reinforced, and technique is closely supervised.
This class will be taught by Louise.
