Reformer Pilates is a safe and effective low-impact form of exercise that combines breathing with flowing body movements on a dynamic surface, offering an elevated approach to traditional Pilates. The Reformer machine is a specialised piece of equipment featuring a moveable carriage, adjustable springs, straps, and a foot bar, allowing a wide variety of exercises to be performed with added resistance, precision, and control.
The aim of Reformer Pilates is to improve posture, balance, coordination, flexibility, breathing efficiency, and mind-body awareness, with a focus on strengthening.
This class introduces the fundamentals of the Reformer at a manageable level, allowing you to build confidence and technique. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 6 people to ensure a personalised experience, with exercises tailored to individual needs and goals. The principles of Pilates are explained and exercises are closely supervised to ensure correct technique.
This class will be taught by Claire.
